Welcome to The Scheme, a documentary series exploring the harsh reality of life in one of Scotland's most notorious housing estates. This BBC documentary provides an honest look at scheme life in Kilmarnock, following several families as they navigate daily challenges. From battling poverty and substance abuse to striving for community and family stability, this series captures the raw realities of their lives.

In Episode 1 we meet Marvin, a recovering addict and a resident of a Kilmarnock scheme known for its high crime rate and social problems. Along with his dog Bullet and girlfriend Dayna, the series follows Marvin's struggle to stay on the straight and narrow while living in an area plagued by poverty, crime and drug addiction.
