History of the Kokushikan
In the 6th year of the Taisho era, the private cram school "Kokushikan" was founded by young volunteers including Tokujiro Shibata.The Kokushikan Vocational College was established in 1974, and since then, along with the Budo Vocational College and the High Normal School, it has contributed to the development of kendo instructors.To this day, he has been known as a leading figure in Japanese kendo.
Kunishikan Junior and Senior High Schools continue their pursuit of "correct kendo" backed by tradition, producing a number of famous players, and practicing every day with the aim of winning "correct kendo that makes sense."
