Despite claims that science and faith have reconciled, the deeper implications of modern scientific thought still leave many scholars far from religious certainty. The conflict isn’t resolved—it has simply matured into a quieter, more pervasive skepticism. This is the modern human predicament: a world rich in knowledge but starved for meaning, where the price of understanding reality “as it is” may be the loss of the hope that once made it bearable.
