This session discussed the results of the EU-LIFE/Nature Essay Contest "Utopia Institute of Research", with panellists:
· Jack Leeming, Careers Editor at Nature, co-organiser of the essay contest & member of the jury
· Frances Brodsky, Novelist and Group Leader at University College London, member of the jury
· Emmy Verschuren, Group Leader & Strategic Research Coordinator, FiMM, member of the jury
· Katherine Ember, Research associate at Polytechnique Montreal, author of the best essay
· Evandro Ferrada, Researcher at CeMM, runner-up
· Miles Elliot Lizak, MSc in Interdisciplinary Studies in Sustainability, runner-up

Carolina Mangana, poet, predoctoral fellow at CeMM and member of the jury, handed out the awards.
