The drops of glass made in this video have several very interesting characteristics. On the one hand, they can survive very strong impact from the side, but when the tail is snapped off they fracture and explode like a crystal grenade. One thing that the mentioned video did not demonstrate is how Prince Rupert Drops can be made without a commercial glass furnace. The video i have put together was made to supplement that information.
