This is a piece, composed by Marc-André Hamelin, specifically designed for a player piano. A player piano is a piano that plays from a music roll instead of a normal human.

Q: Why is the video choppy? The music seems slightly out of sync?
A: This is because the video editing software. The program used to make this is in sync and much more smooth.

Q: Why are some notes really dark?
A: A notes luminosity, or darkness/lightness, is based on how hard the note is hit. A soft note will be dark, and a hard note will be light. All the notes,regardless of their luminosity, will be 100% visible when they are activated (or played).

Q: Did you use the Music Animation software?
A: No. I built my own program to do this for me. It has several more useful features and works on Windows 7 / 8.

Q: Will you release the software?
A: I'm getting ready to release my program called "Midi Bar Score". This program auto-generates and plays everything for you. You simply select a midi file and you're done.
