Thanks for the great tour to the Indigenous Communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group. We started in Zinacantán, where we visited the house of a family cooperative and tried their regional drink and observed how women work the backstrap loom from pre-Columbian times. After seeing the samples of what they produce, we were invited to come to their kitchen and , got to try handmade tortillas.

Next we visited Chamula, to learn about the fusion of contemporary traditions and ancient Mayan characteristics that identify this place. We couldn't take any photos or videos in the church, such a shame because it was pretty amazing in there. Hundreds or thousands of candles, we even saw a lady doing the ceremony and just about to sacrifice a chicken! I didn't want to witness the sacrifice so I left before it happened.

Our last stop was back in San Cristobal de las Casas where we saw some of the architecture in the Centro and learned some of the history of the area.
