Follow up to our previous DIY video where we explained the process to swap this engine into your single AVCS Subaru chassis. Here we do a basic recap and some driving videos to showcase how well a properly done EJ20x swap with a tune can really perform!

The car is making 300whp/254lbft using virtual dyno on the final revision 93pump gas map, and pulls very smoothly through the power-band using this exhaust cam configuration. D-man really works to fine tune drivability not only WOT driving, which the 20x requires to have a smooth daily driver.

Chassis:
2011 WRX Premium 5MT
-EJ20X – Non-Air pump 2.0L engine from Japan
-Delete Exhaust AVCS and used EJ255 Plastic Cam Gear (Turn back Exhaust cams 1 Tooth (7*) to more closely mimic the EJ255 Exhaust cam profile - I made this change after filming unfortunately)
-Leave Exhaust AVCS oil solenoid and cam sensor in place; unplugged

-NGK 2309 1-step colder Spark Plugs
-Engine pre equipped w/ cyl 4 cooling mod – just add a 5/8” “T” fitting into outer most heater hose
