We started this at hike around 8 am at the Cobb Estate trail head in Altadena. From there you take the Sam Merrill trail 2.5 miles up to Echo Mountain which has some awesome ruins to explore. Then we took the Castle Canyon trail up to Inspiration Point to get some great views. This hike is very challenging but rewarding with all the diverse scenery you get to see.
