In 2002 I was hired to shoot, light and interview Robin Williams, Danny DeVito and Edward Norton for E News. Talk about a fun shoot - that's a YES!. They were attending the former US Comedy Arts Festival at the Wheeler Opera House hosting the world premiere for DeVito's movie," Death to Smoochy."

My daughter was 7 at the time. When we talked about what story I shot that week, I told her that I had the opportunity to shoot two actors and the director in a new movie,. Following her next question, "Can we go see the movie? " I answered that Robbins and DaVito both told me nope, Smoochy is not a movie she'd like at her age,

BUT

I added that Mommy did get to shoot and interview the same actor in Smoochy, Williams, who was in a movie we both LOVED - Mrs Doubtfire.

She thought that was VERY COOL and told me that next time i shoot Mrs Doubtfire, she'd like to FOR SURE make that a " Take your child to work" day!

She wanted to ask Williams exactly how all that makeup worked that transformed him into her character.

Like mom,. my daughter shares loads of curiosity!

So happy to find this VHS recording from way back then - and have the time to digitize it while social distancing.
