This arrived in a branded brown box with printed images of the contents, along with feature details and specifications printed around the sides. Once opened the instruction booklet is on the top with everything else tightly packed with bubble wrap bags for protection.

First impressions: the main blender I thought quite heavy for a hand blender which personally I consider a good thing. This has two main rubber covered buttons that have a good positive press to them, and are a good size. The speed adjustment dial on the back has an audible click to it when moved which is good for small adjustment without having to look. The finish is quite nice with a chrome Bonsenkitchen branded plate set against the black gloss plastic and silver adjustment dial on the top. The release mechanism is two push buttons for the release, and it clicks into place when attached. All the attachments look and feel good quality.

After giving all the removable parts a good wash to remove any remaining manufacturing taint I gave it a try out. I first tried the blender stick attachment using the supplied beaker with some cooked peas and carrots and a small amount of vegetable stock, it made short work of the blending making everything nice and smooth with very little effort. I tried both the turbo mode and the power adjustment, and although the power adjustment works very well I found it much more useful when using the whisk building up speed.

I fitted the chopper bowl and blade with a red and white onion both cut in half, and it diced them in seconds with all the pieces around the same size. Everything is quick to clean, and the blade removes from the chopper bowl for cleaning.

I have since used this blender multiple times for different tasks such as blending for soup and mixing up smoothies. The whisk stick attachment I have used for mixing ingredients for ice cream, and it works well with the speed adjustment coming in very useful. I have used the chopper bowl mainly for cutting and chopping onions but have diced nuts in it and it also did a good job.

Overall I was quite impressed with this hand blender, it made quick work of every task I gave it. The speed adjustment is very useful when using the whisk, and the chopper bowl attachment makes short work of anything you put in it. I like the weight to the whole unit, and it feels very sturdy with good quality finishing and useful attachments.
