Welcome to the Kansai region of Japan! I was on a Kyoto and Osaka trip from 2024/06/16 to 06/23 and filmed a lot of railways. Kyoto was the capital of Japan for centuries and has a lot of historical buildings. Now it is a popular tourist destination. This city with 1.4 million residents has a metro system with 2 lines that nearly bankrupts the Kyoto City Government: the Karasuma Line and Tozai Line. Both are expensive to build and do not connect to enough area to have enough passengers using them. For tourists, it is still a good system to get around Kyoto, as it passes through Kyoto Station, the Karamasu, and the Sanjo area.

歡迎來到日本關西！我在2024年6月16日至23日在京都和大阪旅遊，途中拍攝不少鐵路片段。京都過往是日本的首都，因此有很多歷史文物，現時就成為了一個旅遊城市。擁有140萬人口的京都有一個幾乎令京都市政府破產的地鐵系統，包括烏丸線和東西線，兩條線不但建設費用高昂，也因為到達的地點不多令使用量也不達預期。雖然如此，但京都地鐵仍然是旅客穿梭京都的首選，因為京都地鐵經過京都站、烏丸和三條一帶。
