Mubariz Siddiqui has sat on both side of the table when it comes to venture investing.

In addition to being a lawyer Mubariz is also a founder who co-founded a digital signature, legal services startup before taking on a general counsel role with a venture funds as well as a mobility startup in Pakistan.

In his 90 minute fireside chat Mubariz talks about term sheets, maintaining balance between founders and investors, pre and post money valuations, vesting schedules, badly designed cap tables, liquidation preference, playing the long game as investors and founders and aligning incentives.

The conversation is mostly in English with some extended sections in Urdu. Mubariz's host for the conversation was Jawwad Farid.
