3 1/2 cups of flour
In a small bowl with room temperature water
Add 1 tbsp yeast and 2 tsp sugar and let the yeast active for 10 minutes covered
After yeast activate add it to the flour
Add 1/2 cup of milk
Add 1 1/4 cups of water
Add 1/2 cup melted butter
Add 1/2 cup of sugar
Mix well and knead to a dough
Let the dough rise for at least 1 hour
After dough rise, knead and roll out to small balls
You will need 1 1/2 cups of grated cheddar cheese and 3/4 cups of butter for the filling
With a rolling pin flattened the ball and add a spread of butter halfway from centre down.
Add a sprinkle of cheese on top of the butter
Fold top over to the bottom of the dough
Apply more butter and cheese on top of the half circle
Fold again to a triangular shape
Let the dough rest again for 30 minutes
Brush with an egg wash and 2 drops of yellow food colouring
Cook for 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven
Brush with melted butter after baking
Enjoy with family and friends
