Today I am sharing all about our 2020-2021 first day of homeschool! My kids are in prek and 1st grade and today we had our first day of homeschool. We did a few first day of school activities and I wanted to share with you what we did today for our first day of homeschool!

Our first day of homeschool activity #1 was a hot air balloon activity, I wanted to start the year out with adventure! The kids pretended to fly in the hot air ballons and I told them they were flying into first grade and prek! We then read a book about the first hot air balloon ride in France in the 1700’s! Our second activity for our first day of school was to make a World Book cover. I let the kids craft away and make covers for the World Books that we will be adding to throughout the year! Our third activity involved adding an All About Me section to the World Book, while this activity didn’t last super long we will be adding to it and filling out all of the All About Me sheets throughout the next month. The PDF is from Anna Vance Paper Co. and the link is here:

Our fourth activity was just playing with the pattern blocks and eating our morning snack tray! These pattern blocks will be used in our My Father’s World Curriculum this year but today was all about playing with them! So we did. Here’s a link to the Pattern Blocks:
