West Ham United have completed the signing of Spanish winger Adama Traore from Fulham for an undisclosed fee, strengthening their squad as they fight to avoid Premier League relegation.

The 30-year-old winger will link up again with manager Nuno Espirito Santo at the London Stadium, having previously worked together at Wolverhampton Wanderers. West Ham described Traore as a “strong, quick player capable of creating and scoring goals,” signaling the attacking boost he brings to a side currently third from bottom in the Premier League.

A product of Barcelona’s youth system, Traore moved to Aston Villa in 2015 before stints at Middlesbrough and Wolves. Despite limited appearances for Fulham this season, Traore has amassed 262 Premier League appearances and 14 goals, showcasing vast top-flight experience.

Speaking on his move, Traore said:
"I love challenges. We have to take it game by game and give our best. Everything comes from belief, and I believe we can achieve what we’re aiming for."

Nuno Espirito Santo praised Traore’s qualities both on and off the pitch:
"Adama knows the Premier League very well. He will give us a different option in attacking areas and is motivated to fight for us. He will bring energy, commitment, and determination to our challenge."

Traore also adds international experience to the squad, having earned eight caps for Spain.

Currently five points from safety, West Ham have shown encouraging form with recent wins over Tottenham and Sunderland. The club has been active in the January transfer window, also signing forwards Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos to bolster their survival bid.
