Soundbytes: A China Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday (June 12) that the Hong Kong government's revocation of passports from exiled activists is a legitimate measure to safeguard national security. Earlier on Wednesday, Hong Kong's Security Bureau announced that it would invoke powers under a new national security law against six self-exiled activists residing in Britain, including the cancellation of their passports, after they fled the China-ruled city.
