Hybris Longplay (Amiga) [4K]

Описание к видео Hybris Longplay (Amiga) [4K]

Developed by Cope-com and published by Discovery in 1988

Before Martin Pedersen and Torben Larsen wowed Amiga owners with Battle Squadron, they made Hybris. It's not as flashy, but a decent shooter all the same, including some neat touches.

While Hybris is very much a traditional shoot 'em up, this prequel features a pretty cool upgrade system that Battle Squadron lacked. Shooting freighters and grabbing ship parts bestows additional firepower for with each successive upgrade, which can be lost again when taking damage. It's also possible to deploy an alternative fire mode for a limited period of time, increasing damage output and spread, which can also penetrate through alien ground defences.

The reason for the 6-minute intro is the attract mode includes some pixel art portraits of the developers, which is pretty neat!
