About Tahira Kashyap
Tahira Kashyap is an Indian film director, writer, and producer. Kashyap started her career as a programming head at radio station BIG 92.7 FM and worked as a professor of mass communication at Mithibai College, Mumbai.
She then moved on to become a writer, and her first book, I Promise, was published in 2011. She has since written several books, including Souled Out, Cracking the Code, and The 12 Commandments of Being a Woman.
In 2017, Kashyap made her directorial debut with the short film Toffee (2017). The story revolves around two girls from polar opposite worlds who were bought together by shared feelings of freedom and hopefulness.

Her next project as a director was Zindagi inShort (2020), an anthology of seven stories about seven different people and their ordinary lives. She then went on to direct Sharmajee Ki Beti (2024), starring Saiyami Kher and Divya Dutta.
