ABOUT NAKSHATRAS:

'Vedic' astrology has a complex system of stars aka 'nakshatras' or 'lunar mansions' working behind the scenes of the 'rashis' that are further related to 'deities' and 'mantras' found in the 'Vedas'.

In this series, I will briefly discuss the energy of each 'nakshatra' every day, following the Moon through his journey across the sky around the Earth.

In each video I will talk briefly about the 'nakshatra', its energy, its significance and also how planetary placements here influence your life and what they guide is towards.

This video is about the nakshatra of 'Purvashadha', which is the 20th 'nakshatra' out of a total of 27 and what its energy is like.

ABOUT PURVASHADHA NAKSHATRA:

Ruled by the twin influences of 'Apas', the consort of the lord of the oceans and water, 'Varuna deva' on the one hand and the planet Venus on the other,
this lunar mansion holds within it massive abilities of rewarding with worldly success & material happiness.

'Purvashadha' natives are strong willed, positive minded and powerful by nature. They are blessed with the ability to nourish, invigorate and rejuvenate. These people can be as successful in the arts as they can be in business, politics and social welfare. These people can also be great healers, massage therapists, financial consultants/advisors and performers/sportpersons.

In fact, the totem animal associated with this 'nakshatra' is the male monkey and it is common knowledge that not only is the male monkey extremely powerful and agile, he is also quite territorial and virile.

Another notable symbolism associated with 'Purvashadha' are the tusks of an elephant. An elephant's tusks are both powerful and sharp as also glorious and magnificient to look at.

This lunar mansion is one where not only is there immemse power to create great change but there are also material and worldly gifts of doing all that hard work with panache and class.

'Purvashadha' dpminant individuals can often leave others in awe of how easily they seem to be able to accomplish difficult tasks..It is for this purpose these people can often attract the envy of others.

It's only natural though..If your 'shakti' is the power to invigorate & rejuvenate, you will naturally be quite sought after.

The ruling deity 'Apas' is the younger sister of goddess 'Lakshmi' and is very auspicious in her form, attributes and depiction. She is essentially a water goddess who stands for fertility, material treasures and comforts of all kinds.
