The History of the Longest Lasting World Record (MK8DX)

Top Mario Kart players put a lot of emphasis on the duration of their World Records. Every one that has ever been set was the newest at the time, and to become the longest lasting in the entire game, it has to slip through the cracks until all the rest are improved first. From the mad scramble of 2017, to the heartbreak of 2023, and everything else between and afterwards, these are the stories of the players that achieved the most coveted feat in the entire Time Trial community.
