3 DAYS CAMPING | we were INVADED | MT BUFFALO

Join us on our camping trip to Lake Catani for 3 nights. We see birds, plants and look into the macro insect world that lives on this mountain.

Mount Buffalo plateau’s isolation creates an ‘island in the sky' where some species of plants have evolved to only live on this mountain alone.

We go birdwatching, kayaking, visit the summit & photograph the tiny world of insects that live in these beautiful surroundings.

Our camping trip was from a Thursday to a Sunday. We were a little nervous when all the quiet people left on a Friday morning! And yes... the noisy people all turned up after that. Turns out that 13 local families from Bright all rocked up for a group get together but they were all spaced out throughout the campground making the noise even louder!!

We'd definitely camp there again.... but from a Sunday into the weekdays would be ideal to enjoy the peace & quiet of the natural bush.
