Michigan Buck taken with Ravin R26 Crossbow - 6 point | November 7th, 2020

Went out hunting at my buddy's grandparents house in St. Clair County, Michigan. I have been using an attachment to mount my GoPro onto my Ravin R26 Crossbow. Well... by the time I got to the spot, unloaded my gear, grabbed my GoPro and went to put it on the crossbow when I realized I did not have the pin to secure the camera to the attachment. Well that morning, I seen 5 bucks. A unicorn, two small scrubs, a button buck and this 6 point. My plan was to just film him with my phone, but the closer he got to me I decided I was going to take him. He got within 15 feet of the base of the ladder stand, stepped funny into some thorns and jumped up. At this point, I ended up picking up my crossbow off the arm rest with my phone in my left hand, aimed, took the safety off and shot him. After watching this clip I was not happy due to the fact the GoPro wasn't attached to the crossbow :( oh well. Filled one of my buck tags for 2020 and got meat in the freezer. - Sean Whitcomb
