All the kids, chin up, smile and celebrate the day dedicated specially to you! November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day (also called Bal Diwas) in our country and the occasion also commemorates the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Nehru was known for his affection and love for kids, whom he regarded as the ‘future of the country’ and was fondly called as Chacha Nehru. “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country,” he exclaimed once. He always emphasized on the education of children and played a major role in establishment of colleges in the country which are still considered one of the best in the country.

We at Kartavya believes at hard-core happiness of children and their development and education, hence, at this Children’s day we decided to celebrate them as much as we could. We initiated 85th Khoj- Ek Utsav on 14th November at Alfalah Primary and High school located in Malad. We were fortunate enough to benefit 792 Kids. Embarking as a day of celebration, we did something different along with the other activities.

To spread the action of awareness, we distributed sanitary napkins to all the girls in the school and also to bring in the sweetness like every child is, we distributed chocolates to every kid presented there. All the smiling faces made our day and made us more motivated to work for them.

The event was highlighted by some special guests named, Mr. Akhlaque Dingankar, Mr. Mohammad Tahir Shah, Mr. Chandrasekhar Shukla and Mr. Asif Malkhani. Also various competitions were kept in order to encourage the kids. Magic show was organized to make the initiative completely a fun and learn experience. Finally, felicitation program took place and all the winners were provided gifts. At the end each participant was gifted with an educational kit to encourage their academics.


For the successful event that happened and touched hearts of many, Kartavya would like to thank all the supporters who took a great effort to make the event cherishing enough.
