Footage of Ugandan Military Dictator Idi Amin paying a visit to Kenyan President Jomo Kenyatta. The visit was made with the objective of improving relations between both east African nations.

Reuters Text:

"President Idi Amin of Uganda travelled to Nakuru -- a hundred miles northeast of the Kenyan capital Nairobi -- on Wednesday to visit President Jomo Kenyatta at his State Home. The trip was aimed at improving severely strained relations between their two countries and appeared to have been at least partially successful as President Kenyatta warmly greeted President Amin.

General Amin was also believed to have been seeking President Kenyatta's support for his election as the next chairman of the Organisation of African Unity. The O.A.U. summit is due to start in Uganda later this month and as leader of the host country General Amin should automatically become chairman. But there has been rising opposition to his chairmanship because of his poor world image.

Relations between Uganda and Kenya reached their lowest ebb during the recent affair of the British lecturer, Mr. Denis Hills.

Just before General Amin lifted the death sentence of Mr. (Hills), President Kenyatta blocked delivery of a (convoy of military equipment purchased by Uganda).
