The Malayan Tiger

The Malayan Tiger is the pride of our country. Yet, its population has fallen to critical levels due to poaching and habitat loss. In this video developed for Malaysian schools, we learn about the ecology of the tiger and the challenges it faces. But we also learn about the efforts being made to reconnect forest, increase education & awareness, and actively protect our wild tigers from harm. Many groups and organizations are involved in the battle save the Malayan tiger. The situation has never been so dire but as long as we work together there is still hope.

This educational video was developed for Project EcoWira by Roots & Shoots Malaysia, an education initiative which is funded by The Habitat Foundation together with Yayasan Hasanah and AsianPac Holdings Berhad.
