Soldier Killed By VIP Arrogance | DMK Won't Sack 'Lyncher' Neta Chinnasamy | India Upfront

Описание к видео Soldier Killed By VIP Arrogance | DMK Won't Sack 'Lyncher' Neta Chinnasamy | India Upfront

In this episode of India Upfront, the host Rahul Shivshankar will be discussing how the killing of a soldier in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu has caused resentment to spread throughout the nation. On February 8, a DMK leader and a group of more than ten people attacked Lance Naik Prabhu and his brother. The DMK leader Chinnasamy and six other people were detained by police on Wednesday morning as a result of Times Now's constant coverage of the murder. Despite the contentious argument that ensued, the brothers and Chinnasamy fled the area when neighbourhood people became involved. Yet that same evening, Chinnasamy allegedly attacked the Army guys after visiting their home with four of his kids and other family members. Prabhu had a serious head injury and was sent to a hospital in Hosur, while Prabharakaran was also hurt but not as badly. Six people, including Chinnasamy's son Gurusuriyamoorthy, an armed reserve police officer working in Chennai, were detained when Prabhakaran complained to the police. A few panellists join us. "There's a civil-military covenant in a democracy, where the society looks after the family of a soldier." "Some people don't understand that soldiers bear Siachen's snow and Rajasthan's sun for us, the citizens," says Maj Gen (Dr)GD Bakshi (Retd). Listen In!
