Roma Unlikely to Sign Kostas Tsimikas Permanently, Set to Send Him Back to Liverpool

Transfer market journalist Alfredo Pedullà reports that AS Roma are unlikely to trigger a permanent deal for Kostas Tsimikas and are prepared to send the Greek defender back to Liverpool at the end of the season.

Tsimikas joined Roma on a season-long loan last summer after Liverpool secured the signing of Milos Kerkez. The move was intended to give Tsimikas more game time and a fresh opportunity in Serie A.

However, the left-back has struggled to make an impact in the Italian capital. Despite hopes of earning a regular starting role, Tsimikas has failed to impress and has been unable to displace his competitors within the squad. Roma have instead opted to deploy Wesley as their preferred left wing-back, limiting Tsimikas’ chances even further.

Roma’s decision suggests that the Greek international will not have the chance to fully prove himself during his loan spell. Unless circumstances change, Tsimikas is expected to return to Liverpool once the season concludes.
