2023 Chery eQ7 in-depth Walkaround

Chery's latest fully electric SUV, known as the eQ7, is set to hit the market in September under its official name, "Shuxiangjia," which translates to "comfort" in English. This innovative electric vehicle boasts a striking exterior design referred to as the "digital super body." It features a split headlight design on both sides, complemented by bold lines at the grille. Additionally, the eQ7 comes equipped with deflector slots in the foglight area, enhancing brake system cooling.

Moving to the side profile, the eQ7 showcases distinctive rectangular wheel rims, adding to its contemporary aesthetic. The vehicle's body exhibits a harmonious blend of angular and curved elements, with a gracefully curved lower edge of the windows. While the electric SUV boasts low wind resistance styled wheels for improved efficiency, it retains visible door handles.

In terms of dimensions, the eQ7 measures 4675/1910/1660 mm, with a wheelbase spanning 2,830 mm. Comparatively, it is slightly shorter by 24 mm, wider by 38 mm, and lower by 25 mm than the Skoda Kodiaq. Notably, the use of an aluminum body frame reduces the car's weight by an impressive 30%. Under the hood, the eQ7 is equipped with a 211 hp electric motor powered by a 67-kWh LFP battery pack, offering an impressive range of 512 km.

As for pricing and availability, the eQ7 is already available for pre-sales and comes in three different trim levels. The base trim starts at 143,900 yuan (approximately 20,000 USD), the mid-level trim is priced at 153,900 yuan (about 21,400 USD), and the top-tier trim can be booked for 163,900 yuan (approximately 22,790 USD). Chery's eQ7 promises to be a competitive option in the growing electric SUV market, offering both style and performance at an attractive price point.
