It gets rid of an inherent weak point on your pony, plus helps reduce rotational mass. This is a necessary upgrade if you're planning to make big power with your car, or if your plans include spending plenty of time at the drag strip with stick tires, because this driveshaft can handle the extra strain without problems. You might see a slight increase in acceleration as the car pulls through gears faster than before. Again, this driveshaft is made to fit on all 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang GTs with either the manual or automatic transmission. Durable Quality. This driveshaft is rated to 1,000 horsepower and 3,400 lb.-ft. of torque, making it ideal for cars making plenty of power. It's also been tested to 9,500 RPMs. It comes with 108 mm CV joints, plus a one-piece billet adaptor that takes the place of the factory universal joint. This setup means less driveline slop, which boosts performance further. You save between 9 and 12 pounds with this driveshaft, too. Straightforward Install. This is a moderately difficult job, mostly because you have to remove the mid-pipe and a few other parts to access the driveshaft. Expect to spend about two hours on this install. Have a torque wrench, sockets and some Loctite on hand.
