Sicily being the origin of the Mafia, the streets of Palermo have a history of assassinations and massacres up until the 1990's. The No Mafia Memorial is there to tell this story. Half an hour walk from the memorial by the port, I went to see the beautiful mural of the two prosecutors that were assassinated by the Mafia. It was an hour well spent.
