Emergency crews responded to a reported dwelling fire in the Levittown area of Falls Township on the evening of Saturday July 5.

Shortly after 9:35 PM firefighters arrived on location in the Elderberry section with heavy fire conditions consuming a tree as well as fire visible from inside a house in the area of East and Eventide Lanes. Crews went in service with multiple handlines to knock down the flames and bring the incident under control.

In a statement posted online from the Falls Township Fire Marshal it is believed the fire was caused due to a firework shot off in the vincinity ignited the fire after going through the front window of the home located at 6 East Lane. It is also stated all occupants of the residence were accounted for with no injuries to civilians or first responders. Firefighters from Levittown #1, #2, Fairless Hills and Tullytown Fire Companies worked on the scene.
