The Asian American Art & Culture Initiative (AAACI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving untold Asian American history and empowering future generations through art, oral history, and education. Our mission is to uncover untold immigrant stories, highlight immigrant history in Texas, and use creativity as a tool for narrative change.

Through projects like Roots Unveiled 歸根: Chinese American History 1783–1945, oral history documentaries, youth art competitions, and community art exhibitions, AAACI works alongside artists, researchers, and volunteers to reclaim overlooked histories and bring them into the public conversation.

Our programs range from art education workshops for students to community storytelling initiatives that connect people across generations. Every project reflects our belief that art has the power to preserve heritage, amplify diverse voices, and create lasting community impact.
