Ingredients:
• 4.15 cups (half kg) plain flour
• Half cup warm water
• 11g (1 tsp) yeast
• Half cup milk
• 1 tbsp sugar
• Half tsp salt
• 1 egg
• Half tsp baking soda
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 tbsp cumin or kalonji
Method:
1. Activate the yeast in warm water with sugar.
2. Mix all remaining ingredients (except flour and salt) in a bowl.
3. Combine the mixture with flour and salt and gently knead into a smooth dough – do not over knead or the naan will not be soft and fluffy.
4. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size.
5. Shape into naan, cook on a tawa, and finish in the oven.
