There was a huge collective hunt for this mechanic, yet everyone who got close was silenced. It was a stupid state, artificially maintained by the devs, and it made no sense. What was the point of the “high” research board and the dedicated Discord room if theories that were too accurate weren’t allowed? Like, yeah, work together on this problem... but whoever actually solves it should keep their mouth shut?

The board had this rule: “Try to post your theories before testing them.” Why do you think that was? Because if your theory led you to the solution, you obviously weren’t allowed to share it afterwards. But people still wanted a hint. The problem is, the nature of the solution made any real hint far too obvious, which meant they couldn’t be shared at all.

If the developers were really so determined to keep this mechanic a secret, they shouldn’t have included it in the game, let alone tied an achievement to it. Maybe they did regret it, but then they should have solved this situation better. You could say they did not find the ideal solution for this puzzle.

The existence of this video only causes the following:
1. Players who are frustrated are able to spoil the solution for themselves (I absolutely would have, if the option had existed).
2. Finding it solo no longer lets players prove they did it themselves. If you’re angry about this, perhaps your ego has too much control.
3. The developers’ wish wasn’t fulfilled (Did they really think it was realistic? Silencing everyone?).

You know what the video does not cause? It doesn't spoil the solution for anyone who don't want to be spoiled.

The mechanic itself is beautiful (mostly because of the reference). But finding it in current state was not.

Zero shame. I’d do it again, because I still believe this should be available to players who want it... or need it.
