For the first time, our annual best scores countdown is presented as a video. Each year we celebrate the best scores across Videogames, Television, and Film. Join us as we countdown the top 5 scores in each respective category.

2019 was a year where we saw incredible versatility from composers in terms of style and approach. We had big lush orchestral scores as well as atmospheric synth soundscapes. Big thematic scores were present, as well as ones that were dissonant and textural. There was also a great balance between high-budget studio fare and smaller independent productions.

The beautiful thing about visual media is that it’s designed to reach out and resonate with the audience. So let’s celebrate some scores that managed to lift their productions to new heights and created emotional connections that left a lasting imprint on us.
