US aircraft carrier in the Middle East is heading home

A US aircraft carrier deployed in the Middle East is heading home.
The Pentagon has decided to bring back the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
That followed a rare decision to keep two US Navy aircraft carriers in the region during the past weeks.
The Biden administration had increased US military presence in the Middle East to help defend Israel from possible attacks by Iran and its proxies.

Elijah Magnier, a military analyst, says one of the reasons the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is being sent back to the United States after an extended deployment in the Middle East is to send a message to Israel.
