Because there are some twisted enough to want to share my pain, I'm releasing this extended version of my very first ride in my new used boat I bought on FB for $2000. It's also my first time backing a boat into the water. Yes, I know the motor cover is on backwards. Also, my motor wouldn't stay tilted under any amount of thrust, which didn't allow me to tilt my motor up when in shallow water. It also didn't allow me to raise the nose up at all when cruising, which was an uncomfortable feeling. Being a complete newb boater and outboard mechanic, I'm just happy it ran after all the work I've done to it. I did eventually get the trim tilt fixed and now it's awesome.
