Kuch Na Kaho - 1942: A Love Story | Tribute to RD Burman | Tribute 3 | Kavita Krishnamurti

Happy Birthday Panchamda. In 1992, I had rehearsed Kuch Na Kaho with Panchamda with a different antara composed for the female voice.
This never got recorded but the melody has stayed in my head all these years.
I called Javed Akhtar Sahab and he found the words he had written originally for the female lead and promptly gave them to me. Ever so grateful to him for his kindness and support.
I requested my dear friend Jolly Mukherjee who has known Panchamda and his musical team from his kid days to arrange this song for me. Without any questions asked, he has helped me immensely by arranging for musicians and making a fine track.
Then I called Vidhu Vinod Chopraji. He too has been so kind as to allow me to use some shots from the film. It has been my privilege and honour to have sung for Love Story 1942.
I'm very happy to have Ambi, my son with me on this project.
RD Burman-- my pranaams to one of the greatest composer and human being I've ever met.
