Bruno Le Maire born 15 April 1969 is a French politician and former diplomat who has been Minister of Economy and Finance under President Emmanuel Macron since 2017. Former member of the Republican Party (LR), who left in 2017 to join La République En Marche! (LREM) He was Secretary of State for European Affairs from 2008 to 2009 and Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries from 2009 to 2012 under President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Le Maire is also a well-known author, his book "National People" won the Edgar Faure Award in 2008. Bruno Le Maire was born on April 15, 1969 in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He is the son of Total oil company executive Maurice Le Maire and Viviane Fradin de Belâbre, headmaster of Catholic private schools, primarily St. Ge Middle School. Le Maire was educated at the Lycée Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague until he obtained his high school diploma.
