Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this three inch diameter hitch ball for the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck trailer hitches. Now, this heavy-duty hitch ball's designed for use with the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitches. This one we're here will adapt your B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch for some heavy-duty towing by replacing the standard 2 5/16 diameter ball with this durable steel three inch diameter ball. Now, the standard 2 5/16 diameter B&W Turnover hitch ball is rated at 30,000 pounds capacity.

This three inch diameter ball has a 40,000 pound gross towing weight capacity, which is stamped on the top. Now, one note I do want you, do wanna mention, if your B&W Turnover hitch has a lower capacity than the 40,000 pound gross towing weight capacity, you will need to go by the lowest capacity of the two, either the hitch or the ball. Now, the square ball base on this is designed to insert into the hitch and it prevents the ball from turning in the hitch during hookup. And the ball is designed to fit into the Turnoverball hitches, which normally allow you to flip the ball over and drop it into the hitch for storage. But because of the, the three inch diameter on this ball, it will not allow this to be flipped over and stored in the hitch.

So, this ball, when you use it, can only be used in the hitch in the upright towing position. This is a sturdy steel construction. Has a nice zinc finish to it. It is made in the USA. Capacity, again, which is stamped on the top is 40,000 pounds.

Also stamped, three inch diameter. Few dimensions on this, if we measure the overall height, very bottom to the very top is gonna be right at eight inches tall. The square post, which is this section here that goes into the hitch, from the bottom right up to the bottom of the ball is four inches. The width on that square post at the bottom is right at 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. And the pin hole right here, the measurement from the bottom of it, from the bottom of the ball up to the center of the pinhole is gonna be right at two inches.
