So we will welcome about 250 athletes through here for outfitting for Ralph Lauren, for opening and closing ceremonies, product and also village wear, which is a collection of product that the athletes get to wear around the village”.

“We work together (with Ralph Lauren) and give them a, I would say a brief of practically what needs to happen, based on temperatures, and then we work together on what the athletes liked, for the prior winter or summer Games, and then they design and come back to us with their recommendations”.

24. Athletes modelling their opening ceremony uniforms
STORYLINE:
Athletes from the USA team participating in the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics made a first stop on Wednesday to tailor their ceremony outfits, designed by Ralph Lauren.

They gathered in a hotel near the Malpensa International Airport, where they received their official uniforms for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as clothing for life in the village.

The Olympics run Feb. 6-22.
