Today we celebrated a very special Raksha Bandhan here in Australia, and this year it became even more memorable because we were blessed with a baby girl. For the first time, our son got the chance to celebrate Rakhi with his little sister, and the emotions were truly priceless.

We dressed up in traditional outfits and visited my brother’s house where my nephew was waiting eagerly. Even though we are far from India, the excitement of Raksha Bandhan made us feel just like home.

The Rakhi ceremony was filled with joy, laughter, and blessings. Watching the bond between brother and sister form so beautifully reminded us how important it is to carry our Indian culture and traditions abroad.

No Indian festival is complete without good food! We enjoyed homemade dishes, shared stories, and created memories that our kids will cherish forever.
