I decided to revive this mod after finally figuring out how to merge the load screen with the ready screen. Technically they are still seperate menus, but I got rid of the transition and removed the old ready screen and just replaced it with the load screen. (with the exception of the Ready button as we obviously still need that. :P )

Technically the transition is still there, but it occurs instantly with no fade. All I had to do was change two float values in the load screen meme file. Can't believe how simple it turned out to be. All these years, and I finally got it. This has motivated me to convert more BF2 maps.

Also, I've redone the existing load screen scheme so that I can have a custom background and not just the ingame map showing in the load screen. This makes it look more like BF2's load screen. The ticket flag icons will now only show in the "ready" screen half of the load screen, so no more white boxes! :D

I've also renamed the Ready button to read "Join Game" and added new text to the Ready section of the menu to match what appears in BF2.

All future BF2 maps will go to this mod. Operation Road Rage and Midnight Sun will be the last BF2 maps I make for DesertCombat. ;)
