In this clip, Tony Lewis Sr. shares his thoughts on an incident back in the 90s when the late Marion Barry (former mayor of Washington, D.C.) got caught smoking crack on camera, before being re-elected to office for another term. Tony looks back fondly on his friendship with the late Marion Barry, before stating how much the former Mayor of D.C. loved his community. As the conversation moves along, Tony talks about the evolution of crime in Washington, D.C., from selling drugs to gun violence and carjackings. He also states that he and his son, Tony Lewis Jr., and working to find new ways to improve their community and provide ex-felons with positive resources to become successful.
