Welcome to Day 24 of FYIC 2026 – A Fragment of Your Imagination 🎨

Today’s fragment is Jimeler, a seed-shaped fragment by Sonja Richei.

This fragment has a really strong structure, with a clear seed shape at its centre, surrounded by multiple aura lines moving in different directions. That combination gives Jimeler loads of opportunity for texture and depth, especially once you begin to shade.

What I particularly enjoyed here was how clearly the central seed shape stands out when you shade around it.

In this lesson, I focus on:
working with a seed-shaped fragment
layering auras in different directions
using shading to build depth and contrast
allowing a strong central shape to remain calm and clear

Jimeler is one of those fragments where restraint really pays off. You don’t need to add much - careful line work and thoughtful shading do all the heavy lifting.
