This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.

This Core Concept video focuses on Søren Kierkegaard's essay "The Present Age", found in his book, The Two Ages. It discusses the relation between reflection, which is one of the key features of what he calls the present age, and envy, which can take multiple forms, including that of "leveling"
