Brittany Mahomes wasn't in her usual spot sat next to Taylor Swift while watching the Kansas City Chiefs, as the singer sat alongside Travis Kelce's father.
Taylor Swift wasn't sat with Brittany Mahomes for the opening game of the 2024 NFL season, as she attended to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce in action.

Brittany and Taylor hung out at some length while watching their partners suit up for NFL team Kansas City Chiefs last season, including spending time together away from their partners. But Brittany has since been met with controversy for appearing to endorse Donald Trump.

She came under fire after fans noticed that she had seemingly liked an Instagram post from former President and current Republican nominee Trump outlining his policy positions. Brittany then removed the like due to the overwhelming backlash, which was also received by Patrick, her husband and quarterback of the Chiefs.
Conservative political commentator Candace Owens supported Brittany at the time, reminding fans that everyone is allowed an opinion. "Brittany Mahomes has an attitude. She doesn't care [that social media is angry], and I am here for it," Owens said on her "Candace" podcast.

Brittany's husband, Patrick, hasn't revealed his political stance despite the hate and has instead urged citizens to do their own research. "I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president," Patrick Mahomes said in an interview with TIME magazine last year.
