Easy Install Through Wall
I installed this in the wall next to the back porch glass door. Made sure there was no stud in wall, then placed the frame up as a template and cut it out. Screwed each frame to inside and outside, then filled the inside of the wall openings with 2x4 sections to avoid anything from getting up inside wall.

Rubber flap is fairly heavy and has a strong magnet to grab flap after use. If you don't have a drill and a recip saw/jigsaw, then don't buy and complain about install issues. It requires some ability to cut wood and understand what is inside a hollow-core door, steel exterior door or wall. I have had several doors over the years and always installed in walls. I like the larger size for my puma looking cat that needs to go out.
