Описание к видео Madeira Monte Palace gardens walk

In this splendid walk we explore the Monte Palace gardens located in Madeira, Portugal. Enjoy!

The Monte Palace Madeira spans 70,000 square meters and features a vast collection of exotic plants, swans, ducks, peacocks, and chickens. The swans, which prefer shallow lakes and ponds, include black swans from Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand, and white swans from Iceland and Scandinavia.

The Monte Palace Madeira Museum, set within a tropical garden, has three floors. Two floors are dedicated to contemporary Zimbabwean sculptures from 1966-1969, showcasing over 1,000 sculptures, with individual works highlighted on the top floor and the working environment of the artists depicted on the second floor. The lower floor, 'Mother Nature's Secrets,' displays a private mineral collection, predominantly from various countries including Brazil and South Africa, featuring around 700 specimens and over 300 gems, particularly diamonds.

Additionally, the palace boasts a significant collection of tile panels, acquired by José Berardo under Manuel Leitão's guidance. These tiles, considered highly important in the country, range from 15th-16th century Hispano-Moorish tiles to Portuguese panels from the 16th-20th centuries.
